Behind every great civilization, there is a significant river. Therefore Delhi has river Yamuna, River who witnesses generations to come and go, River who saw India as a golden bird and her 200 years of captivity and the river which became the lifeline of Delhi. Spend a mesmerizing day with us on river Yamuna and around its lush green campus. Walk through the lanes of old Delhi and appreciate stunning monuments.
The tour will start from the Nigambadhi Ghat at 07.00 AM (Nov - March) - best time to spot migratory birds and 09.00 AM (April - October) as there are no migratory birds. Spent few meditative hours on the river and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Yamuna’s campus. Will move towards the Raj Ghat, the place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. This place was a river bank a few years ago, we will talk about Gandhi, Yamuna river and his views towards cleanliness. Our next stop will be Old Fort, one of the first cities in Delhi was established right here somewhere in 1500 BC next to the river Yamuna and we have some beautiful stories to tell you about reality, mythology, and humanity. Our next stop will be a beautiful Akshardham temple on the other side of the river, telling you details about the Hindu way of life on this land. If you want we can also visit a school running next to the river for small kids of marginal society by an NGO.
