The Soulful India
We always say that India is more than the Taj Mahal, and actually, a lot of people who were a bit into an inward journey found their way to India. Travelling to India for the first time can also be a bit overwhelming and it is organised with too many structures with old school travel companies, you may miss the real India. Hence, as a new-age and yet old root-style travel team, we made sure to design the best of both worlds. India can make one really feel at home yet it can make people look for a home within or something that already existed with them. This beautiful yet adventurous trip is going to make you feel the same.
We are starting in New Delhi and doing the famous Golden Triangle which includes the Taj Mahal and the famous pink city Jaipur, we have to do this as this is what people usually see India as! But after our first 6 days of a typical India trip with Slumdog Millionaire music in the backdrop, we will head towards the peace and tranquillity of India and to one of our favourite Indian Himalayan states, Uttarakhand.
We are going to explore one of the first British hill stations, Landour and Mussoorie, with rich Himalayan and interesting colonial history. This place is a nice option to take a break from the big cities of India. We are also going to spend some time in the rural Himalayan village, Devalsari, famous for its pine forest, ancient temples, butterflies, and one of the famous Himalayan Hike, Nag Tibba. The next day we will head back to the foothills and spend 2 days in a Farm style backpacker’s hostel.
Rishikesh is our next destination where we are going to dive deep into Indian spirituality and understand why this place became the Yoga capital of the world. With the beautiful Ganga River helping us to calm down we will do some yoga, and meditation, explore waterfalls, go for small hikes, eat delicious food, do white water rafting, do some workshops, and try to travel within. Just sitting next to the river alone and sipping your chai can almost give you salvation. So, let’s see what Rishikesh brings to you.
Finally, we will head back to Delhi, with all the memories in our pockets and heart, we are going to maybe explore some nightlife in Delhi and end the trip with a nice party. Because as we said, India is everything and you will find what you are looking for. So, what are you looking for?
